ETNIES BOWLMASTERS 2006
This is really the 5th time of the Etnies Bowlmaster in lovely Brixlegg,
Austria. This year the cradle will be packed with the best bowlriders
worldwide from the 26. 28. Mai 2006. The Cradle Skatepark is the place to
be this summer!
This concrete park was built 2001 by the dreamland builders who also built
the Burnside skatepark in the United States. The whole area is 11 000 m2. An
overview is available at www.skateTHEcradle.com
. Furthermore the park has been extended by
a new street course and a new surface last year .
Back in the early 70s the influence of surfing was massive. Skateboarders
were looking for concrete waves in abandoned swimming pools or draining
ditches. Skateboarding developed as a sport when wheels hit transitions.
Pool skating is still a part of it
Etnies Bowlmaster is one of the few concrete bowl events in Europe, that why
we chosen The Cradle - one of Europes finest concrete skateparks is located
in the heart of the Austrian mountains: Brixlegg. More information about
Etnies Bowlmaster at www.skateboardeurope.com
and www.etnies.com/skate
.
Last years skateboarding already proved that it is worth spending a weekend
in the mountains to enjoy the incredible lines of Tony Trujillo, watch the
speed of the last years winner Omar Hassan and enjoy the creativity of
Daniel Cardone. Prize money are 10 000,00 Euros and inscription fee is 30,00

Thanks to the Cradle Skatepark, Etnies, Powerade, Quiksilver and Eastpak and
as Dave Duncan from World Cup Skateboarding said ìthis is one of the most
beautiful places in the worldî thanks to the cities of Brixlegg, Kramsach
and Rattenberg, which support skateboarding by building a Dreamland
skatepark.
